Teacher’s Training Program

A teacher who can spot a vision problem protects a whole classroom of futures.

Why Train Teachers

Uncorrected vision problems in children lead to reading difficulties, lack of focus, academic decline and drop-outs – and children rarely know their own eyesight is the problem. Teachers see students every day, which makes them the earliest possible line of detection.

10,680+Teachers trained
105,000+Children screened

How the Programme Works

Run alongside the School Eye Clinic – delivered in collaboration with Rotary Club of Heidelberg-Schloß, Germany – the programme trains teachers to recognise the signs of poor vision in the classroom and refer students for professional screening, enabling timely intervention before a treatable problem becomes vision loss.
